"Lindsay Sharpe studied marketing and fashion merchandising in high school in Matthews. She chose UNCG because of the CARS program.
Now a senior, Sharpe has gravitated toward clothing design. Through the independent study class she took last spring, she was assigned to the patternmaking department at VF Corp. in Greensboro. (She and other students had to create workwear pants for women.) That experience turned into a summer internship that VF extended through her senior year."

"The show is just one of the many events and professional preparation activities coordinated by the Threads group, which is lead by president Lindsay Sharpe ’18. The group was created for members to succeed in the apparel industry by allowing them to cultivate skills they’ll need, providing networking opportunities, and hosting social events."

She trained with VF’s 3-D Master Patternmaker, Margarita Pasakarnis, and became the rst person in the UNCG CARS program to be certi ed in VStitcher 7.5."
